Wednesday 11/4

  1. Due by the end of class: Draw your storyboard for your Animation. How will your Storyboard be graded? An OUTSTANDING storyboard is complete with sketches for each scene, detailed notes on titles, transitions, special effects, sound, etc. An OUTSTANDING storyboard reflects outstanding planning and organization for the visuals in the video. Blank storyboards can be downloaded and printed from here.
  2. If finished early, start working on artwork for animation using Illustrator or Flash.

    • Film students with Mr. Florendo to learn some basics about audio manipulation
    • WebAudio students with Ms. kefauver to learn some basics about film production and film pre-production
    • In groups, start writing the screenplay

    • Combining many tracks into one by busing to another track
    • Normalize vs Gain
    • Reverb
    • Delay
    • Bounce to Disk as .wav
    • Convert to mp3 in iTunes
  2. Assignment due by the end of the class: Get one of the other PT Session RAW files. Mix it and make it sound better as best you can in a short time. Bounce out and convert to mp3. Submit the final mp3 with your name starting the file name. Also take a Grab screen shot of your MIX window that shows all the fader/pan positions and plug-ins you have used. Consider these options
    • Mix volume levels with faders
    • Use panning to mold the soundscape from left to right
    • Use reverb to mold the soundscape from front to back
    • Use plug-ins to clean up individual tracks
    • Use groups, buses
