How you can help Freestyle

Freestyle’s success is heavily dependent on state of the art multimedia equipment such as digital and video cameras, photo printers, application software, computers, and audio equipment. Grants from partners have helped us acquire most of the teacher’s initial equipment requirements. However, additional grants and donations are needed to enable us to purchase the remaining equipment that each teacher wants for their studio. In the graphics studio, replenishing printer supplies is very expensive. The attached spreadsheet details the equipment and supplies needs for Freestyle at this time. Needs for each studio are listed in priority order on a different sheet (click on the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet to see each studio). If you would like to help the teachers acquire items on their list, please consider the following options:

1 – Purchase items listed on the Freestyle Equipment and Supplies Needs List and donate them to the program. Part numbers, prices, and sources are listed for most of the items. If you are an HP employee, you might be able to get photo printer paper and ink cartridges at a discount. We will supply a thank you letter for your tax records.

2 – Make a cash donation towards the purchase of items on the list. Please check to see if your company has a matching gift program for employee contributions. We are already on file with Adobe as a member of a tax exempt group. Make checks payable to MVLA Union High School District and put Freestyle in the memo line. Feel free to specify equipment or studios you would like the donation used for. Please mail checks to the following address:

3 – Help us develop contacts at Foundations and Silicon Valley companies that have grant or donation programs for education. Unsolicited proposals are discouraged by many philanthropic organizations, so helping us make connections can be very beneficial.
