Artist statement

 

My work is about imagination and how limitless it is. As limitless as the open sky you could say. I care about this picture because to me being creative is what makes us separate from everyone else, it’s what makes you shine. The picture takes the focus away from the center of the eye towards the eyelashes making the sky more suttle. I made the sky in the eye visible enough to make it clear but not visible enough to completely overtake the eye. I want you to take away a sense of creative freedom.

                                                 Artist statement

My work is about the fear of the future; being engulfed in war. I’m afraid we wont have the green grass and blue sky’s that we do now. I care about this picture because to me this is where I think our future might lead. The pictures background shows a clam environment filled with growing grass. The mirror represents the future, and inside the mirror consists of a background that is very chaotic. Filled with broken buildings, fires, and a very unnatural evil sky. The person in the mirror has no face, this is because the person is not representing anyone in particular but instead representing everyone’s future.
