Research Paper:
The essential question for our research paper is: What makes a small business successful? We chose this topic because we are both interested in small businesses, and wanted to know more about them.
Audio Documentary:
Just like how an audio book is the counterpart of a printed book, our audio documentary is the counterpart of our photo documentary. There are heavy parallels between the audio documentary and our research, but due to the different medium and time constraints, the two diverge in detail of content.
Photo Project:
Our photo project is just the visual representation of our audio documentary and research paper. We chose to use formatting similar to the book to keep the website related to the book. For our website, we used CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to format the text, and Javascript to load text into the text box. We decided against using javascript for the images, however, because we would have had to put in multiple blank pictures to swap out, and we didn't want to do that (too much blank space). This was our first time using CSS and Javascript.
Project Comments:
We really enjoyed going out to interview Mr. Fox, Mr. Wildanger, and Mr. Selda. We hope you enjoy hearing what they have to say, and how we have portrayed it.
